LMH (Le Mans Hypercar)
The bespoke Hypercar platform: constructors design the whole car, hybrid front axle optional.
LMH, Le Mans Hypercar, is one of the two technical platforms allowed in the Hypercar class. An LMH constructor designs the entire car: chassis, bodywork and powertrain, with the option of a front-axle hybrid system. Toyota's GR010 and Ferrari's 499P are LMH designs.
The freedom costs more than the alternative LMDh route, which mandates a spec chassis and hybrid package. The two platforms race together under a Balance of Performance that aligns their power, weight and aerodynamic performance, so the choice between them is a question of budget and brand philosophy rather than lap time.
