Prologue

The championship's official pre-season test, days of collective running at one circuit.

The Prologue is the WEC's official pre-season test: the full entry gathers at one circuit for two days of collective running before the opening round. It is the first public look at new cars, liveries and driver line-ups, and the timing data from it is the least meaningful of the year, since programmes range from race simulations to systems checks.

Prologue days are typed as test sessions in our archive and excluded from records and statistics.
