IMSA (WeatherTech SportsCar Championship)

North America's top endurance series; its GTP class shares the LMDh platform with the WEC's Hypercar.

IMSA's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is North America's premier endurance series, home of the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. It runs its own classes and calendar, but its top category, GTP, is built on the same LMDh platform the WEC admits into Hypercar.

That shared platform is the door between the two worlds: a manufacturer can build one car and contest Daytona, Sebring and Le Mans with it. The convergence, agreed between IMSA, the ACO and the FIA, ended a decade in which the two sides of the Atlantic raced incompatible prototypes.
