Which team has the most WEC wins?

Toyota Gazoo Racing heads the WEC team win list with 39 overall victories. Toyota's factory squad has 53 in all once its 14 wins as Toyota Racing, the name it used from 2012 to 2015 and again in 2026, are added to its Toyota Gazoo Racing total. Audi Sport Team Joest won 17, all between 2012 and 2016.

The overall wins table

The archive holds 107 WEC races, from 2012 to the 2026 Barcelona round, and Toyota's factory entries have won 53 of them: 39 as Toyota Gazoo Racing and 14 as Toyota Racing. Audi Sport Team Joest won 17 races between 2012 and 2016.

Porsche's works LMP1 programme raced under two names. As Porsche Team it won 12 races from 2014 to 2016, and as Porsche LMP Team it won 4 in 2017. These totals cover the races held in the archive, which does not yet include the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, won by the works Porsche team.

Ferrari AF Corse has 6 overall wins since the 499P arrived in 2023. Privateer Rebellion Racing won 3 with its R13, in 2018, 2019 and 2020, and Porsche Penske Motorsport has 3. AF Corse has 2, BMW M Team WRT 2 and Alpine Elf Team, the 2022 name of Alpine's works squad, 2.

How Toyota built the record

Toyota won at least once in every season from 2012 to 2026 except 2015. The peaks came in the 2018-19 super season, with seven wins from eight races, and in 2021, when it won all six. It also won six of the seven races in 2023.

By car, Toyota's wins split as follows: the TS030 Hybrid 5, the TS040 Hybrid 5, the TS050 Hybrid 19 and the GR010 Hybrid, including its 2026 TR010 update, 24. Toyota's first three wins of 2026, at Imola, Le Mans and Fuji, took its total past 50.

Bahrain is the clearest example of the pattern. Toyota has 11 wins there, including every Bahrain race from 2017 to 2025, nine in a row.

Counting class wins as well

Add class victories and the list changes. Every one of Toyota's class wins was also an overall win, so its total does not move, but the single-name class-win list is headed by Aston Martin Racing with 43.

Aston Martin Racing has 43 class wins from the GTE era, 25 in GTE Am and 18 in GTE Pro, between 2012 and 2020. AF Corse has 42: 30 in GTE Pro, 10 in GTE Am and 2 outright Hypercar wins with the customer No. 83 499P. The factory Ferrari AF Corse entry has 6 more under its own name.

In LMP2, G-Drive Racing won 17 class races. Porsche GT Team has 11 class wins in GTE Pro, and Dempsey-Proton Racing 11 in GTE Am.

The Hypercar era

42 races have been won by Hypercars since the class arrived in 2021, and Toyota won 24 of them: 20 as Toyota Gazoo Racing and 4 as Toyota Racing. Ferrari AF Corse has won 6 and Porsche Penske Motorsport 3. Alpine's works team won 2 as Alpine Elf Team in 2022 and 1 as Alpine Endurance Team in 2025. AF Corse has 2 and BMW M Team WRT 2. JOTA won 1 as Hertz Team JOTA with a Porsche 963 in 2024 and 1 as Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA in 2025.

In 2026, 7 races up to the 2026 Barcelona round have produced 3 different winning manufacturers (Toyota, BMW and Ferrari up to the Fuji round). Audi's and Porsche's works LMP1 totals have been frozen since 2016 and 2017, so the only teams able to chase Toyota's 53 are the Hypercar programmes racing now. Among them, Ferrari AF Corse has 6.
